Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest, but we are no longer accepting volunteer applications for sweetlife 2016.

If you applied to be a volunteer, a sweetlife team member will be in contact with you with confirmation details!

FAQs
How do I know that I have been accepted as a volunteer?

You will receive an e-mail offering you a position in early April 2016. This email will include your orientation information. If we do not hear from you, we may offer your shift to another person. Volunteers must make sure that they have a reliable system for collecting e-mail and telephone messages.

I can’t attend the orientation session I signed up for – can I attend a different one?

Yes. We will email you in the beginning of April confirming your attendance at the session you initially signed up for on the sweetlife volunteer form. You can let us know then if you would like to attend a different one. However, we have limited space at each session, and volunteers who initially signed up for the session will have priority.

What if I am unable to attend any of the volunteer orientation sessions?

Orientation is mandatory. If you are unable to attend an orientation session, unfortunately you cannot volunteer.

How do I find out my exact volunteer role and shift time?

Shifts are in 4-hour segments. After you fill out the sweetlife volunteer form, we will email you in the beginning of April confirming your exact role and shift time. We will cover the responsibilities of each role during the orientation session.

Can I request a specific shift?

Unfortunately you cannot request a specific shift.

What does volunteering get me?

All volunteers are granted free admission before/after the shift is completed, snacks, and a free t-shirt.

How old do I have to be to volunteer?

You must be 18 years or older to volunteer.

What should I wear during my volunteer shift?

During your shift, you must wear your sweetlife volunteer t-shirt (which you will receive the day of the festival) and closed-toe shoes. Your volunteer shirt will be your “ticket” into the festival. A small locker will be provided to store your items during your shift, only, so please plan accordingly.

Can I wear my sweetgreen t-shirt at the festival before and after my shift?

You are welcome to wear your sweetlife t-shirt outside of your shift time as long as you are not consuming alcoholic beverages. If you wish to drink after your shift, you MUST wear a different shirt.

I can’t volunteer anymore! What should I do and whom should I contact?

Please e-mail volunteers@sweetlifefestival.com as soon as you know there is a change in your schedule. We appreciate your timeliness, as your shift is staffed only by you and we will have to work to find someone to fill it.
